ALET conferences provide excellent networking and professional learning opportunities for Alabama’s EdTech leaders. In addition to ALET’s state and regional conferences, members are encouraged to attend and present at national conferences.

ALET Winter Conference

Montgomery, AL – ALET leaders meet in the state capital each February during the legislative session to talk with legislators about critical funding and policy issues dealing with educational technology.  [February 25, 2020]

Virtual Event – June 22 – 26th.

ALET Fall Symposium

Orange Beach, AL – ALET’s largest event, the Annual Symposium, will be held on the beautiful Gulf Coast. This three-day event features national speakers, a full sponsor hall, and exceptional opportunities for peer collaboration. [Sept. 20th – 23rd, 2020]

ALET Region Meetings

Each ALET Region is encouraged to hold one or more region meetings per year. Region representatives on the ALET Board will schedule these events and content based on their region’s needs. Event dates will be posted on the ALET calendar.

Alabama State Department of Education Educational Technology Conference (AETC)

CoSN Conference

The Consortium for School Networking is a premier international organization for district leaders. ALET is affiliated with CoSN. Visit CoSN’s conference website.  [March 16 – 18, 2020]

ISTE Conference

The International Society for Technology in Education is the largest international organization focused on technology in schools. ALET is an ISTE affiliate. ALET offers three scholarships each year to Alabama technology coordinators who have never had the chance to attend a major ISTE conference.
